Venture Kick – 1 MILLION PLUS

Startups from Swiss universities can get more than 1 Million in cash plus support and great networks. It starts with a first kick of CHF 10,000 for a great idea.

Venture Kick was launched in 2007 with the vision to double the number of spin-offs from Swiss universities, to accelerate their speed-to-market and to raise the attractiveness of these young companies among professional investors and industry partners. Selected members from a jury pool with more than 200 leading startup experts in Switzerland evaluate 25 startup projects at different stages at four sessions every month.

Since 2007, 1’100+ Swiss startup projects have received CHF 60+ million from Venture Kick. This has resulted in more than 800+ incorporated companies creating 13’305+ jobs. Startup companies supported by Venture Kick have attracted CHF 9+ billion from investors so far, and 64 startups from Venture Kick have made it into the TOP 100 Swiss Startups 2024.

Venture Kick is an initiative by the charitable Kick Foundation, launched and supported by a private consortium and operated by Venturelab. Currently, Venture Kick is supported by the following ten private partners, foundations, private individuals, and corporates, all sharing the same vision of supporting the next generation of successful entrepreneurs for the prosperity of Switzerland’s economy and society: Gebert Rüf Stiftung, Ernst Göhner Stiftung, Hauser-Stiftung, André Hoffmann, Hansjörg Wyss, Martin Haefner, Fondation Alcea, Fondation ProTechno, European Space Agency, and Swisscom.
