About GEW

GEW Switzerland is inspired by the Global Entrepreneurship Week, a global annual event, which fills over 10 million people in more than 140 countries with enthusiasm for innovative ideas, company formations and entrepreneurship. In 2004, there was an “Enterprise Week” in England. The event was a total success and news about it spread around the world like wildfire. The first Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) was conducted in 2008 – the brains behind are the British organisation Enterprise UK as well as the U.S. American Kauffman Foundation. GEW rejoices at the rapid growth, more people and more nations are joining the event from year to year.

6th edition of GEW Switzerland

In 2016, Swissparks organises GEW Switzerland for the fifth time. In 2011, the various events in the context of GEW Switzerland took exclusively place in the canton of Bern – however, in 2012, GEW Switzerland managed to grow to a national event: during this week companies and organisations from the cantons of Bern, Geneva, Vaud, the Grisons, Zurich and St. Gallen offer exciting events, workshops and networking opportunities on a daily basis.

Additional regions and partners are wanted
