sitem-insel is the Swiss Institute for Translational and Entrepreneurial Medicine. Our mission is to establish, operate and develop a National Center of Excellence for Translational Medicine that professionalizes translational research for the benefit of patients, society and science. sitem–insel is located at the Insel Campus Bern and benefits from its proximity to the largest Swiss university hospital (Inselspital) as well as to the largest medical faculty in Switzerland (University of Bern). In sitem-insel, a wide variety of units from the hospital, industry, research and education are networked under one roof and pursue innovation for the benefit of the patient An onsite state-of-the art 20,000 m2 facility is the sitem-insel catalyst for a multidisciplinary collaborative approach to unlocking ‘bench to bedside’ innovation.

Forschung rasch zum Patienten

sitem-insel ist das Schweizerische Institut für Translationale Medizin und Unternehmertum. Unsere Mission ist es, Forschung möglichst rasch dem Patienten zu Gute kommen zu lassen und dies in höchster Qualität. sitem-insel liegt auf dem Insel-Campus Bern und profitiert von der Nähe zum grössten Schweizer Universitätsspital (Inselspital) wie auch zur grössten medizinischen Fakultät in der Schweiz (Universität Bern). In sitem-insel sind unter einem Dach unterschiedlichste Einheiten aus Klinik, Industrie, Forschung und Bildung vernetzt und betreiben Innovation zum Wohle des Patienten. Das 20’000m2 grosse, transparente Glasgebäude entspricht in seiner Architektur dem Gedanken der Offenheit und der multidisziplinären Zusammenarbeit.
